Beskrivelse
This UIA side event will take you around the district of Nordhavn, where you can see with your own eyes how a new urban area close to the water is taking shape in a former industrial port.
The guided walking tour will focus on how urban development may contribute to a sustainable city environment through use of the DGNB certification system, which is based on a holistic approach to sustainability.
The area is a showcase for protection and use of historic buildings in brownfield development, for sustainable transport, innovative green and blue recreational areas, and an ambitious flooding protection project. Furthermore, the tour will present different buildings, which illustrates how new buildings and renovation of old warehouses can be developed in a sustainable way.
Participation is free of charge as part of the UIA 2023.
Format: Approximately 90 minutes guided walking tour. The guides will be a city planer from By&Havn and DGNB specialist from Green Building Council Denmark.
