Beskrivelse
Participating at this UIA side event in the Copenhagen neighborhood Ørestad, you will experience and see how the new urban area has emerged as part of nature and with the metro as close neighbor.
The tour will focus on how urban development may contribute to a sustainable city environment through use of the DGNB certification system, which is based on a holistic approach to sustainability.
The area is a showcase for use of rainwater in landscape design, sustainable transport and inclusive urban spaces. Furthermore, the tour will present different building types, some of which are showcases for reuse of building materials and others that represent new ways for cohabitation. Several of the buildings are in the process of being certified with DGNB.
Participation is free of charge as part of the UIA 2023.
Format: Approximately 90 minutes guided walking tour. The guides will be a city planer from By&Havn and DGNB specialist from Green Building Council Denmark.
